Online card payments

Online card payments let customers pay on your website, at any hour. I set up a checkout that sits alongside your card machine, so all your payments arrive in one place.

Three ways to take card payments online

  • A hosted checkout. Your customer clicks "pay" and finishes on the provider's secure page. The simplest option, and you don't handle card data.
  • A shop plugin. Shopify and WooCommerce plugins add card payments to the shop you already have.
  • A payment link. No website needed. See pay by link.

Why use the same provider as your card machine?

  • One account and one set of reports for in-store and online sales
  • One provider to call if something goes wrong
  • Often simpler pricing than two separate contracts

What I need to know

Tell me what your website runs on, roughly how much you sell online each month and whether you take phone orders. I'll suggest the setup that fits, from Teya, myPOS, Rapyd or SkyTab.

Already taking payments online? Send me a statement and I'll check those fees too.

QUESTIONS

Questions

Does it work with Shopify or WooCommerce?

Yes. The providers I use offer plugins for the common shop platforms, and a hosted checkout if you don't have one.

Can in-store and online payments use one account?

Usually, yes, which makes reporting and payouts simpler.

What about phone orders?

Use pay by link or a virtual terminal rather than writing card numbers down.
